Dear Federation Family,
Approaching a Century of Heritage and Tradition
As we near the remarkable milestone of 100 years, we are reminded of the vision and dedication that shaped the Southern Federation of Syrian Lebanese American Clubs. Reflection on our earliest conventions, one can only imagine the excitement of those first gatherings-family and friends meeting from across the southern states, celebrations filled with music, and the joy of building lasting connections. The traditions established then continue to guide and inspire us today.
Our mission remains steadfast to celebrate our heritage, preserve our culture, and strengthen the bonds of family and community. Through our Midwinter Conference and Summer Convention, we provide meaningful opportunities for fellowship, learning and cultural pride. Yet the Federation’s work extends far beyond these events. Committees operate year-round, the Board of Directors works diligently to ensure the success of Midwinter Conferences and Summer Conventions.
Every aspect of our work is focused on serving our members-offering high-quality events at the most affordable cost possible while creating enriching experiences for all ages. Special recognition is to the Federation Convention Committee, whose thoughtful planning and dedication are vital to the continued success of our gatherings.
As we look forward to our 100th anniversary, we call upon our members to take part in shaping the Federation’s future. Whether through active participation in conventions, service on committees, or leadership roles within the Board of Directors or the Foundation, your involvement is essential. Together, we will honor, our history, celebrate our culture, and ensure the vitality of the Federation for generations to come.
Yours truly,
David P. Welch
Chairman of the Board
